The Leicestershire County Council Safe and Sustainable Travel Team offers year 11/12 students, who are 16/17 and have not yet started to drive, the opportunity to take part in a Pre-Driver Day aimed at young people who are interested in learning to drive.

The course offers a variety of workshops highlighting key issues faced by young and inexperienced drivers. The course will include an introduction to driving, issues relating to speed, impairment and also a practical off road driving session using the Mallory Park track and paddock area accompanied by a qualified driving instructor in a dual controlled car.

How to Find Us

Mallory Park is situated in the village of Kirkby Mallory, just off the A47, between Leicester and Hinckley and there is easy access by road and all major cities are in reach. Look for the brown tourism road signs, including those which bring you direct from junction 21 of the M1.

Please enter using entrance B with the iron gates as you arrive in the car park (which are clearly signed Driver Day) and drive down to a large car park area.

Follow the signs and walk over the bridge towards the large grey building, where the doors will be opened at 8.45 am for registration and staff will be on hand if you require any further assistance. The course will commence at 9.00am and finish at 4pm.
